Easter Birthday Cupcake Cake

Sharing is caring!

This Easter Birthday Cupcake Cake is a very special holiday dessert. It was made for me the year Easter Sunday happened to fall on my birthday. It doesn’t happen often so I wanted to serve something special with our holiday meal.

Spring Holiday Birthday Dessert

Can you imagine a more perfect way to celebrate two special occasions during your favorite season? My birthday and Easter have shared the same date less than a handful of times in my life. When it happened again in my late 40’s, I ordered this spring holiday birthday dessert to share with my family.

Holiday Cupcake Cake

This holiday cupcake cake is not my recipe or project. However, that doesn’t mean you couldn’t try to make it yourself. In fact, I am sharing this dessert as a fun idea to celebrate any special occasion – birthday or anniversary – that happens to share a date with a big holiday.

How to Make a Cupcake Cake

Making an Easter birthday cupcake cake is a fun and festive way to celebrate the occasion. If you enjoy baking and have a good eye for detail, then making a cupcake cake won’t be difficult. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to make one.

Ingredients:

  • Cake mix of your choice
  • Cupcake liners
  • Frosting of your choice
  • Easter-themed decorations (such as mini chocolate eggs, sprinkles, etc.)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to the temperature specified on the cake mix box.
  2. Prepare the cake mix according to the instructions on the box.
  3. Line a cupcake pan with cupcake liners.
  4. Pour the cake mix into the cupcake liners, filling them about 2/3 full.
  5. Bake the cupcakes in the oven for the amount of time specified on the cake mix box. Check for doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center of a cupcake. If it comes out clean, they are ready.
  6. Remove the cupcakes from the oven and let them cool completely on a wire rack.
  7. While the cupcakes are cooling, prepare your frosting.
  8. Once the cupcakes are completely cooled, arrange them in a circular shape on a cake board or platter.
  9. Use a piping bag or knife to spread the frosting over the cupcakes, making sure to cover the entire surface.
  10. Decorate the cake with Easter-themed decorations such as mini chocolate eggs, sprinkles, and other festive decorations.
  11. Chill the cake in the fridge for about an hour to let the frosting set.
  12. Once the frosting is set, your Easter birthday cupcake cake is ready to serve and enjoy!

Notes:

  • You can also add a small birthday candle or candles to the cake to make it extra festive for the birthday celebration.
  • If you will be traveling to another location with the cupcakes already assembled, choose a large cake platter for the dessert.
